Vivian "Marie" Johnson

Vivian “Marie” Johnson, 98. of Taylors, S.C., former resident of Brunswick, Ga., passed away Monday, July 24, 2017. She was born the 6th of June 1919 in Detroit Michigan, daughter of the late Vivian Goss and the late Herbert Starner

Mrs. Johnson had been a resident of Brunswick from 1973 until 2010, and had resided in Taylors,South Carolina since 2010. She was a homemaker and a member of Bible Baptist Church in Brunswick.

Those who knew and loved Mrs. Johnson will remember her for the loving ways she had, and the award winning seamstress that she was, making costumes that she loved so much.

In addition to Mrs. Johnson’s parents she is preceded in death by her husband Frank Johnson.

She is survived by her children Charles Johnson and wife Victoria (Gainer) of Taylor S.C.; Connie Huckabee and husband James R. of Royal Oak, MI: nine grandchildren Alissa Smitley, Myndi Hayden, Jennifer McKeever, Charles Johnson, Jr., Christopher Johnson, Jessica Harris, Michelle Johnson, Stephanie Johnson, and Katherine Johnson: nineteen great-grandchildren; one great – great- grandchild; and serveral: nieces, nephews, and many family friends.

Visitation will be held 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

A funeral service is to be conducted 11 a.m. Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Bible Baptist Church, 500 Harry Driggers Blvd. Brunswick, where Dr. Mike Landrum is to officiate. Entombment will be held 10 a.m. Monday, July 31, 2017, at Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery, 4407 U.S. Hwy. 17 N. Brunswick.
