Dear Mrs. Ledbetter and Family,
I had the opportunity to meet and get to know Mr. Smitty when he was retained by the Housing Authority of the City of Cochran, GA many years ago. I was employed with The HACC as Administrative Assistant. I always enjoyed his visits to our office! He filled our day/days with much laughter. He was a very kind and caring person. I have never forgotten him, and I am truly sorry and brokenhearted that he has passed away. I pray GOD is still helping you all through this sorrowful time in your lives. I am sure Mr. Smitty and my former deceased Husband, Bobby, are talking constuction, sitting there on the streets of Gold in Heaven!
GOD bless and keep you all wrapped in his loving arms.

Betty Thomas,
Formerly from Dublin, GA

I was priveledged to serve as an intern architect for Mr. Ledbetter for several years. He set a high standard for architectural practice that I strive to reach each day in my own practice.

I only met Smitty briefly, but all I have heard are wonderful things about what a kind person he was. He was loved and respected by many.
