A Better Place

She’s in a better place right now
then she’s ever been before;
all pain is gone; she’s now at rest;
nothing troubles her anymore.

It’s we who feel the burden of
our sorrow and our grief,
we have to cry to mourn our loss,
before we get relief.

We know we’ll reconnect with her
at the end of each life’s road;
we’ll see her cherished face again
when we release our earthly load.

My dear friend Wanda,
What an amazing woman you were. I will never forget our times together, your laughter, your love and support when I lost my kids , JJ included, the strength and re-encouraging you gave me that Our Father held a place for us all and that I needed to hold tight to those Promises. I know as your love ones read this it comes as little comfort, for I also felt the better place was to have them back with me. I know it’s our flesh that takes over our faith for a bit at the times of losing our loved ones but for me it was the raw pain that I’m sure they must also feel. I know we all know that God is the one in charge and He doesn’t make mistakes but at this time of grief it is hard to understand. I will find comfort in that old hymn “By and By” and I pray they can do the same. I will never forget our times at Fellowship. You were my strength at many board meetings; when I tried to do the Sunday School Superintendent and the many other jobs I tired that I nowhere felt entitled to nor able to do. The laughs we had to overcome our madness when we were told we just needed to hush and let the men do the talking at a couple of board meetings! The time you helped me with my genealogy and I discovered so many things I had never knew. I could go on and on but your love and respect you showed me covered it all by far. I will love and miss you girl. Please look after my kids and all the loved ones up there for me until ..........♥️💋

My aunt Wanda was one of kind . She knew when you needed to be hugged or when you needed to hear a hard truth. She always made me feel loved and cared about. And she ALWAYS has been there to help my mom and my brother when they have been sick or mom was in the hospital. Somehow she always made time to help all of us . She was the rock , the glue that kept our family together , she never gave up hope on getting us all together. I loved her very much and she was there for me in some very difficult times in my life and a piece of my heart will forever be missing not having her here with us . I pray for my uncle Kenny and Serena and Greg for the difficult days ahead when the pain of missing her comes to their heart. She was like a second mother to me and my brother and like a sister to my mama. Heaven sure did get an angel and I’ll miss her smile,her laugh , her humor and everything about her 😔truly a huge loss for our family but a big a big reunion in heaven with her brothers and aunt Regina too 🙏. I love you aunt Wanda forever and always ❤️Until we meet again you are in my heart forever!

Aunt Wanda was the most amazing aunt I have ever had. When I found out she was not doing good I cried for days. And ever since then I have felt a piece of my disappearing and when I found out that she was gone for good I started to cry. I will never forget any memories we had together.
