Mrs. Wayne Pearce Daffron of Brunswick, Georgia peacefully entered her Heavenly Home on Sunday, November 27th, 2022 at the age of 89. She was born in Pebble City, Georgia the daughter of the late Ellis Parker Posey and the late Lillie Belle Posey. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Earnest Eugene Pearce; a sister, Vangeline Richter; and a brother, Dennis Posey.
Mrs. Wayne had been a resident of Brunswick since 1953 and was a retired bus driver with the Glynn County Board of Education where she was a mentor to many young children. She was an active member of Marshes of Glynn Baptist Church. She was a former Sunday School Teacher, Training Union Teacher, and Vacation Bible School Teacher, she loved her church family and was always willing to help on any occasion. One of her greatest joys in life was leading young souls to Christ and being a prayer warrior. She was a virtuous lady, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was always the ROCK of her family and their shoulder to lean on, she had a great sense of humor. She also enjoyed camping and visiting the mountains. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her many memories are, her husband, Olan Daffron; children, Sharon Evans (Randy), Eric Pearce (Jan), Lisa Boatwright (Timmy), James Pearce (Nikki), Vicky Boatright (Michael), and Stephanie Steverson (Billy); two Brothers, Winston Posey (Joyce) and Roger Posey(LaRue); two Sister in laws, Iris Posey and Donnis Drexler. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends between 5 – 7:00 PM Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. A Home Going Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 1st, 2022 at Marshes of Glynn Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Joiner and Rev. Harrell Turner officiating.
Active Pallbearers will be John Boatright, Olan Boatright, Mitchel Banks, Russell Evans, Triston Daffron, and Michael Moncus.
Memorial contributions may be made to Marshes of Glynn Baptist Church and/or Hospice of the Golden Isles.
