Weston Lee Shephard

After graduation from Glynn Academy in 1963, Wes was drafted into the US Army where he proudly served in Vietnam. He was a dedicated UGA fan and an active Gideon for many years.

His parents, Alva and Bessie Hobby Shephard and a sister, Myra Shephard preceded him in death.

Wes is survived by his wife, Delores Cutrell McIntyre; two children, Jennifer McDonald (Matt) and Wayne Shephard; a brother, Mike Shephard; two grandchildren, Jack Dennis (Dara) and Stephanie Williams Tindall and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Wes’ life will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Remnant Church of God. Interment with military honors will be Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Georgia Hospice Care, 777 Gloucester St., Unit 303, Brunswick, GA 31520.
