

Born at home on March 2, 1945, Wilbur was the son of Ila W. Wilson Daniels and Perry Joe Daniels. He lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, hard work, and a genuine love for people.
Wilbur was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra W. Patrick,his siblings, Nadine Daniels, Betty Jo Cates, David Daniels, Jeff Daniels, and Earl Joe Daniels. He is survived by his brother, Casey Daniels (Judy), as well as 18 nieces and nephews from both his family and Sandra’s family, all of whom held a special place in his heart. He also leaves behind his faithful canine companion, Buddy.
For 34 years, Wilbur worked in sales with Hughes Supply, where he earned the respect and admiration of both coworkers and customers.
Wilbur never met a stranger. He loved helping others repair things, sharing vegetables he had picked up and making daily phone calls to check on friends and family. His thoughtful nature and caring spirit touched countless lives. To his nieces and nephews, he was affectionately known as “Uncle Wilbur,” a title he wore proudly as he joked, teased, and brought laughter to all.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29, at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, at Palmetto Cemetery on 17th Street.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Wilbur’s honor to the American Heart Association.
Wilbur will be remembered for his warm heart, generous spirit, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. His memory will live on in the many lives he touched.
