

She was the daughter of Professor and Mrs. William Strozier of Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Agnes Scott College in 1952. As a member of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church she met her future husband, Charles, who was a student at Candler School of Theology. After his ordination they were married on March 21, 1954. Together they served several individual churches in the North Georgia Conference as well as the Augusta and Rome-Carrollton districts. In addition, she was very active in the United Methodist Women.
In her later years she volunteered at the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum where she met President and Mrs. Carter on several occasions. She was a supporter of many cultural activities, particularly the High Museum and Fernbank Science Center. She was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, supporting them through good and bad seasons. She also enjoyed word games, especially the daily jumble.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who is survived by husband Charles, sons Bill and Steve (Abigail), daughter Ellen Brown (Mike), 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday April 11 at 11 a.m. at St Simons United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Agnes Scott College.
