

Mrs. Jewell was born January 1, 1929 in Kingsland, Georgia the daughter of the late Charles R. Outler and the late Annie Lee Outler. She resided in Brunswick, Georgia most of her adult life and was a member of Christian Renewal Church. She loved to read and study her bible. Over the years she worked at Dixie Paint, W.W. Floyd Motor Company, Golden Isles Auto Sales, Alpha Motors, and until her retirement she ran Salvador’s Deli Downtown.
Mrs. Jewell was preceded in death by her parents; Charles R. Outler and Annie Lee Outler; husbands, Kenneth H. Peeples and Edward Jewell; a daughter, Sheri Lynn Sturdivant; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles Outler and Joan Outler; a sister and brother-in-law, Floella Boring and Newt Boring and sister-in-law Lucy Booth. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-Law, Judith Warren (Wayne) of South Carolina; two sons, Hugh Peeples (Mari Anne) of Green Cove Springs, FL and Chris Peeples of Harrietts Bluff, GA; daughter-in-law Pam Peeples of Waverly, GA,; son-in-law, Chuck Sturdivant of Brunswick, GA; two granddaughters, Angie Self (Steve) of Waverly, GA and Jennifer Loughrey (Rob) of Maryland; six grandsons, Todd Peeples (Aimee) of Maryland, Brian Peeples (Crystal) of Waverly, GA, Adam Sturdivant of Brunswick, GA, Drew Sturdivant (Sarah) of North Dakota, Ryan Peeples of Texas, and Shane Peeples of Florida; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margaret and D.L. McLean of Alston, GA; Ten great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Jewell loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working in her flower garden. She also enjoyed cooking. Mrs. Jewell always looked forward to the trips with her brother, sister-in-law and sister and brother-in-law to various Flea Markets. She treasured the close relationship with her daughter-in–law, Mari Anne Peeples, and grew to love her as a daughter. She will always be remembered for her loving ways and missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family will cherish many fond memories for years to come.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on November 11, 2017 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life Service held at 1:00 PM on November 11, 2017 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Elder Ron Scarboro officiating the service. A catered reception will follow the service.
