Tony was born in Campomarino, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1951. He travelled west to Alberta and worked for the CPR for 37 years as a section foreman and roadmaster.
Tony retired in 1988 and lived a wonderful life filled with spending time with family and friends, fishing, camping, gardening, dancing, playing scopa, and sharing his skills to make the best wine ever with three generations of his family.
Besides his loving wife of 66 years, Paolina, Tony is survived by his three children Sal (Debbie), Frank (Terry) and Anna (Gary); niece Angela (Ryan); grandchildren Michael (Denise), Cassandra (Andrew), Chelsea (Richard), Brittany (Christopher), Sarah (Tyler), McKenna and Connor; great-grandchildren Jaxson, Isabella, Everly, Theo, Zoey, Hannah, Rylan; and great-nephew Lyden.
Tony was predeceased by his brother Vincenzo “Vince” Campanelli on March 19, 2020.
A private family service will be held.
