She spent time living in Grand Prairie, Coaldale, and Lethbridge before moving to Calgary where she was introduced to her future husband Charles (Charlie) Bulmer by a mutual friend. They spent 50 wonderful years together before Charlie passed in 2009.
Agnes had a variety of passions throughout her life. Art was a life-long source of joy; she spent many years with the Cochrane Art Club where she created and sold numerous works. She was an avid birdwatcher and traveled to various locales around the globe to add to her 'life list'. In addition, she loved genealogy, sewing, knitting, synchronized swimming, golf, reading, music and singing, and playing in various bridge clubs. Spending quality time with family and friends was of utmost importance to her, whether at the acreage in Bearspaw or the cabin at Baptiste Lake. We will forever remember her compassionate and caring personality, easy laugh, and heartwarming smile.
Agnes was predeceased by her sister Edith Kornelson, and brothers Harold and Werner Pankratz. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Diane Bulmer (husband Brent Toner) of Calgary, her son Scott Bulmer of Vancouver, as well as many in-laws, nieces and nephews, and their families.
A Celebration of Agnes' life will be held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL (3220 4th Street NW, Calgary AB) on Saturday, October 14th at 2:00 P.M. We request you join us in wearing Agnes' favourite colour, yellow or your favourite bright and cheerful colours. Whether it's a shirt, a dress, accessories, or even just a bright pair of socks, let's bring a little extra brightness to our gathering.
We wish to have you join us in person to share stories. However, if this is not possible for you, we have arranged for a live-stream of her celebration. Please contact Foster's Garden Chapel (403-297-0888) for information.
Memorial donations in Agnes' name will be gratefully accepted by Canadian Alzheimer's Association at https://alzheimer.ca.
