It is with heavy hearts that we announce the quiet passing of Agnes Mary Tucker in her 96th year. She was a consummate mother, wife and homemaker. Aggie was an excellent friend to many and was well known to one and all as a wonderful mother, cook, seamstress, curler, hunter, angler, card player, letter writer and matriarch of the family that she so dearly loved and watched over.
Aggie was predeceased by her kindred spirit and beloved husband of fifty-nine years, Ted, as well as her siblings; Alex, Violet, Don, Margaret and May. She is survived by her youngest sister Mary, and a brother-in-law John, both of Winnipeg, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Her immediate family footprint includes three children (all her favourite), Linda and husband Bob, George and wife Jan, and Ken and wife Cindy. She shared her laughter and love with her grandchildren Colleen, Ken and wife Joyce, Tyler, Dale and wife Crystal, and Jason. She was a proud great-grandmother to Lexi, Brooklyn, Ty, Eve and Aiden.
The family's gratitude goes out to the loving staff, doctors, and caregivers at Garrison Green for their support, humour and care of Aggie in her final years. Please take a moment to honour Mom by listening to Kindred Spirits by Celtic Thunder.
A Memorial Reception will be held at South Calgary Funeral Centre, 12700 Macleod Trail South on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers – a contribution to the charity of your choice would be appreciated
