Mac served in the Royal Canadian Artillery in the United Kingdom and Central Europe during World War ll. He worked as a geologist in the Alberta 0il Industry for 32 years and then in Egypt and the Dominican Republic. He and his wife Thelma enjoyed cruises and visited 6 continents in their travels. As well as enjoying travel abroad, they enjoyed spending time with their family in Calgary, Kelowna and on the farm west of Pincher Creek.
Mac is lovingly remembered by Thelma, his wife of 75 years, their children: Linda Grimmer, Larry (Pat), and Russell and their grandchildren: Katherine, Scott, and Bozenka (Tyler).
The family would like to thank Dr. Van Der Westhuizen and Dr. Simmons and the capable and caring nursing staff at the Rockyview Hospital in Units 71 and 47.
