Angela Delgado

Angela is survived by her two children, Aurora Delgado Sleigh (Rolf Maerzke) and Luis Delgado (Keren Farquharson); her grandchildren, Chris Warren, Paul Warren (Stacy) and Curtis Delgado. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Levi Warren, Luke Warren, Adam Warren, Luisa Peters and Alexia Peters and best family friends, Pepe Lopez, Milli Lopez and Anna Maria Lopez. Angela was predeceased by her husband, Henry Delgado in 1999; daughter-in-law, Shirley Delgado and granddaughter, Laura Peters. She spent the last years of her life in Vulcan, AB, but was a long time resident of Calgary. She was born in Seville, Spain and lived in Barcelona, Spain and London, England as well as Abbotsford, BC, Calgary and Vulcan AB. Angela was a much loved woman who brought joy and happiness to everyone who came into contact with her. She will be missed by everyone who knew her for her kindness and generosity of spirit and by all those who received her precious gifts of hand crocheted swan doilies. Many thanks to all the staff of the Vulcan Extendicare Unit for taking such loving care of Angela during the last years of her life and to the staff of the South Health Campus Hospital in Calgary for their care at the end.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at visitation held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
