August 5, 1933 – November 10, 2012
Ann passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 10th, 2012 surrounded by loving family members. Ann was born in Toishan, Kwangtung, China and immigrated to Canada in 1955. She met and married Kenneth Jang in 1959 and became a devoted wife and mother. She was a compassionate, selfless, well respected elegant woman with a deep love for her family. Her encouragement and sacrifice made each of us who we are today. Her love extended to her seven grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and other family members. Ann enjoyed gardening and cooking, and was happiest when family came over for dinner and special occasions. We will miss her dearly. Ann is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ken; four children Mary (Dick) Quon, Lillian, Edward (Theresa) and Henry; grandchildren Jeffrey, Phillip, and Andrea Quon, Mackenzie and Elizabeth Allen, Bryan and Allison Jang; sister Mee (Tom) Mah; brothers Colin (Stella) Gee and Wing (Judy) Gee. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at visitation held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, November 16th, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL on Saturday, November 17th at 2:00 p.m. The Family would like to express appreciation to Dr. Linda Fong, the staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and the Rosedale Hospice.
