Ann was born on August 26, 1943, in Macao, where she spent her elementary years, until her family moved to Trinidad in 1954. From there she finished her schooling before joining the Bank of Nova Scotia to work, where she remained a loyal employee for over 30 years until her retirement in 1998 and 2005. Ann and Walter were married in 1966 in Trinidad, and they welcomed their only child Candice in 1971. They immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1973, and after Walter’s passing in 1976 she raised Candice as a single mother, before finally relocating to Calgary in 1998, to be with Candice and her family.
Ann had a generous and thankful heart. She was hardworking and found her strength in the Lord to face any challenge. With her adventurous spirit she travelled to see the world. She was also an avid and talented cook and hostess. The most outstanding trait to those who knew her was that her family meant everything to her. Ann was forever grateful to be blessed by their love and support throughout the years, especially after being widowed at the young age of 33. She was deeply devoted to caring for her daughter, grandchildren and extended family, instilling a caring and welcoming attitude in the loved ones she leaves behind.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter Candice (Kuen), her grandchildren Alyssa, Kristian, and Chantel, her siblings John (Kathy), Paul, Mary (her sister in-law), Alice (Carl), her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Walter; her parents; her brother, David, and many other beloved family members.
