She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. After the Second World War, she married Carroll K. Chapman. They spent 20 years of their married life in Vancouver before moving to Thornhill, Ontario where they remained for 24 years before moving to Calgary. They were married for 62 years when her husband died in September, 2008.
Ardis is survived by her sons, Brent of Kelowna and Glen (Liz) of Calgary and four grandsons, Kyle, Wesley, Paul and Todd. A private memorial service will take place in Burnaby, BC at a later date.
