Arthur James Westlake

Arthur passed away peacefully on Friday, March 30, 2012 at the age of 77 years. He was born in Plymouth, England. Arthur is lovingly remembered by his wife Joan of 50 years; daughters Joanne Westlake and Jeannette McCoy; grandchildren Megan and Kyle McCoy who were his pride and joy; also numerous family members in England, Australia and Hong Kong. Arthur is predeceased by his son-in-law Wayne McCoy and brother-in-law Dave Oakley. Arthur loved music and singing they were one of his lifelong passions. He and his wife Joan were avid members of Alberta’s Square and Round dance community. They danced many summers away at the Penticton Peach festival. There were also proud Founding members of the Rockyview Ramblers Square Dance club where they met many friends who they continue to enjoy. A Celebration of Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. An extremely special thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses that cared for him at the Special Services Building in the Foothills Medical Centre and Unit 57 of the Holy Cross Ambulatory Care Centre (Rockyview Hospital).
