Austin passed away suddenly on Friday, November 22, 2019 in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 23 years. He was born in Calgary, on September 24 1996, and spent most of his life in the city.

From an early age it was apparent Austin was going to do things his way on his schedule despite objections or concerns from those around him. He loved spending time with friends and family, and especially loved spending time with his niece, watching Family Guy. Cooking was a lifelong passion of his, he loved experimenting with food and spices then watching people enjoy his creations. Despite his struggles, Austin always had a smile on his face and a quick wit about him. He made a lasting impression on everyone he met. His infectious laugh and mischievous twinkling eyes will never be forgotten. The void left by his passing, can never be filled and we will miss him always.

Austin leaves behind, his mum Echo (Ron) Chapman, father Troy (Jacquelyn) Carr, sisters Savanna and Shylah, niece Peighton, and a large extended family. He was predeceased by his grandmother Denise Parent (2018), grandfather Wally McNeill (2018), and uncle Geoff Parent (2010).

A Celebration of Austin’s life will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Saturday, November 30,2019 at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to Calgary John Howard Society, choose Youth Program and indicate Roofs for Youth at https://www.cjhs.ca/donate/

I was visiting from Ontario and I took my nephew Austin to the backyard to play, I found an old milk carton and put him in it so he could fly like he was in an airplane. Well, after a few turns of ups and downs you should have seen his eyes which were 3 times their normal size (I forgot he had mischievous eyes darting to see if anyone else saw what was going on! lol) and his dazzling smile from ear to ear, pease Auntie, pease again more! If it would have been dusk out those eyes and teeth could have lite up the backyard!
He was so young, gone too soon, but the Good Lord has called another angel home.
Those we love don’t go away,
They walk besides us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
So loved, so missed, so very dear
This is the fond memory I will hold dearly close to my heart with all the other memories of the others who have passed on and are with Austin right now taking care of him.
Even though I can't be there I’m there spiritually and my heart is wrapped around all of you on this sad sad.day but he is going home
God Bless and surround you all with love and healing and blessings
