Dear Marg and Doug and families,
Marg and I were three years old when our family moved across the alley from your family, and we have been good friends ever since. My younger brothers and I would play games -- tag, hide n seek, anti-I-over, Kick-the-Can and Red Rover with both of you and half of the neighborhood in your yard and actually all over the neighborhood! I don't think kids have those same kind of freedoms these days.... Your Mom would bring out the best cookies and treats and I thought she was the best baker and seamstress ever. She was always good to me, even when we were crazy teenagers playing loud music and sometimes misbehaving when your parents were out. I truly enjoyed seeing and visiting her when I was an adult -- she had such grace and elegance and warmth. I know you will miss her dearly. Thinking of you with love, Shirley Edmondson Sarens

Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. We want to keep the ones we love with us forever. In some ways, we do. I think of my dear mother everyday as we also miss David's mother.
My visit's to Carstairs as a child with my parents and then later with Mom and sister Cindy were some of my fondest memories of visiting your family. We were always made to feel most welcome and loved. I am happy that we continue to visit with the same feelings and look forward to being with you to share at Aunt Betty's Memorial. Know that we are all thinking of you all. Love Louise & David.

Thinking of all Aunt Betty's family. I share so many memories of her, the twinkle in her eye; her laugh/giggle; her great sense of humor; her love of family past and present. She was a historian who wrote many wonderful stories of times past. In doing this she has left a legacy for her family and friends.
I cherish the times we spent throughout the years. She would say, "we Betty's have to stick together". I shared many a wonderful time with Aunt Betty and her family. We love you and will miss you. Rest in Peace dear Aunt Betty.
