Mrs. Bona Dena Malden

July 16. 1920 – September 28, 2010

Bona passed away very peacefully at the Mt. Royal Care Centre on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at the age of 90. Her work here was done and she went to join her lifetime love, “Max”. After meeting in kindergarten, they were rarely separated. Born in Moose Jaw, SK, Mom had a full life and was active for many years in Beta Sigma Phi, The Foothills Hospital Auxiliary, and working at Chief Crowfoot School. After retirement, she and Max enjoyed travelling to Britain, seeing the sights and visiting friends. She loved her visits to Toronto and Winnipeg visiting children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bona will be remembered by her daughter Donna Wilkinson (Bob), son Terry Malden (Irene) and daughter Gail Malden (Jan); grandchildren Shannon (Corey) Cannon, Stacey (Daniél) Roy, Chris (Debora) Malden and Cindy Malden; and her great grandchildren James & Matthew Cannon, Odéah & Téo Roy, and Luke & Lily Malden. The family would like to thank the staff at the Mt. Royal Care Centre for their wonderful care and attention, with special mention to Christina, Colleena, Ruth and Morena. Also thanks to Lise & Steph for their friendship and support. A Memorial Service was held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Alzheimer’s Society of Calgary, #201, 222 – 58 Ave. SW, Calgary, AB T2H 2S3.
