To Jean and family
Have only just caught up with the news of Bryan's passing. To us he was  always known as Verrell and the last we saw him was when he picked us up from the motel in Calgary and took us out to his cabin when we came over to the World Flower Show in Toronto in 1994. Seems like yesterday.  All our love and best wishes go out to you all.

Words cannot be enough to say the impression you made in people's lives Uncle Curly. You were an influential part of my life when I was growing up. You are greatly missed by many but many happy and funny memories will remain. To Auntie Jean,Robyn,Tim, Hazel, our thoughts and love are with you at this time. Brothers three score and ten. Where have those years gone? I have great memories of our youth and times we had and although separated by distance, I like to think we were closer than many. I can see from your home and family that your achievements are many. So much fulfilled and yet to be done. If there is life hereafter I hope we can meet again. Rest at peace brother.

Robyn, your dad will always hold a special place in my heart. He always gave me a stern and often gruff reception when you and I were out too late, or sneaking around and getting into mischief. I wish you strength in this sad time, make sure to hug your mom tightly. Lots of love, always.

Marg and I are shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Curly. It just seems like yesterday that we were sitting around the table and enjoying Chinese food when we visited in December.
Curly was a kind , generous and gentle man. We were looking forward to him coming to Halifax and P.E.I. this summer.

Dear Jean, we were so sorry to hear about Curly. Please except our sincere condolances to you and the family.

To Jean, Robyn, Tim and wee Hazel, Our heartfelt condolences from across the miles go out to you and the extended family. I am one of the many who had the pleasure of living in that basement suite in Altadore and who enjoyed the many laughs, drinks and stories that were such a big part of being in Curly's world. So many stories, so many laughs, so many memories. I wish we could be there for you but sadly we will have to celebrate Curly's life from down under. Love to you all. Haere ra Curly.

Hi Jean, Robyn, Tim and Hazel. Curly was such a character- I guess I will never know the truth about how he lost his fingers; he must have told me 3 or 4 different versions! He was always generous, from not letting me pay for anything when I was visiting my big sister Jean when I was 20, to plying Frank with endless beer on our more recent visits. He was such a good Dad to Stephen and Robyn, and would have loved lots more time as a grandpa. He will be greatly missed by people in all corners of the world. Love from Kate and Frank, and the Berry family in Tasmania.

Jean, Robyn, Tim and Hazel. I can't even imagine how difficult it will be for you to have such big hole in your life. Bryan was so full of life and energy, and I loved talking to. My deepest sympathy to all of you.

To Jean, Robyn, Tim, Hazel and other extended family. We remember Curly as a brother in law, friend, husband, dad and granddad and a man who loved his family. Curly always looked for opportunities in life. He was a generous host along with Jean. Thank you Curley for putting up with different members of our family who stayed with you and loved you. We remember the Hangi's by the cabin and the trips to show off this beautiful country he called home along with the trips he did to visit us in NZ and Australia. We will miss you Curly and Ross I'm sure will miss your passion, support and friendship.
