Grant, beloved husband and best friend of Marion, passed away peacefully in his sleep with Marion by his side on December 17, 2010. He leaves two daughters Jamie and Katy, son-in-law Gary, and grandsons Michael and Andy, all of whom miss him very much. Grant was predeceased by his beloved son Ian who passed away in early childhood.
Grant was born in Montreal and graduated from McGill University. He signed on with GSI in Alberta where he met Marion. Grant and Marion travelled widely with the company, but eventually returned to Toronto and then to Ottawa. Grant worked for the Export Development Corporation in Ottawa, before eventually retiring happily to Victoria for many years. Grant was known best for his vast array of interests, and his excellent sense of humour.
The family wishes to thank those who provided care and support for him this past year, the staff of the Lake Bonavista Village and the staff of the Beverly Centre Glenmore who showed Grant and his family kindness and compassion these past few months.
