Carman Douglas Turner

Carman, forever remembered as the loving husband and dance partner of 69 years to Dorothy, father to the late Deborah Turner (2015) and Stuart (Leola and family) of Calgary.

He was predeceased by parents Norman and Jessie Turner, as well as siblings Harvey, Melvin, Pearl, Wilfred, Clifford, Gordon, Elmer and Garnet.

Carman was a successful businessman in Ottawa, operating BP and Texaco service stations for 25 years. His later calling in life was being a care giver to his daughter and wife.

We acknowledge and thank the staff of the Ottawa Heart Institute for extending his stay with us 8 years ago.

He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and dear friends throughout southern Ontario, together with the Fairweather family.

A Visitation will be held for friends and family at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022, with the funeral at 2:00 p.m. at South Calgary Funeral Centre, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate).

If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Carman’s memory directly to the Ottawa Heart Institute.
