Christa Dermann was born on November 8, 1938, in Hamberg, Germany. She lost her parents at an early age and spent many happy years with her foster mother, Ms. Doberentz.
She became a pediatric nurse before she met her husband Imanual Dermann. Together they started a family and then chose to immigrate to Canada in 1967 where she happily raised her three children and later enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children and their families; sons and daughters-in-law Diethelm Dermann & Tammy Dermann, Jurgen Dermann & Birgit Dermann; daughter and son-in-law Annegret Leikam & Rick Leikam; as well as her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Christa was predeceased by her husband Imanuel Dermann, they will be reunited at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
A Funeral Service to honour Christa will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 4th Street NW, Calgary, AB, on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
