Lily was born on October 1, 1931 in Hoi Ping China. She married her husband, Hoy Ken Ging Fooy Wong in October 1949. She immigrated to Canada in 1959 and they raised their five children in Lethbridge, Alberta.
She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her five children and their families, Tom (Margaret) Wong, Sherry (Larry) Johnson, Francis Wong, Teresa (Mike) McLaughlin and Brenda (Scot) McLaughlin; her grandchildren Alicia Wong (Doug) Francoeur, Amanda (Chris) Noval, Ashley (Nick) Oakley, Liam McLaughlin, Aidan McLaughlin, Keira McLaughlin, Connor McLaughlin, Amber McLaughlin, and her great-grandchildren, Willow Noval and Lucas Oakley.
A Private Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel (3220 4 Street NW, Calgary, AB). Interment to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the team at the Wing Kei Care Centre, and Dulcina Hospice for the compassionate care they provide.
