Clinton Ronald Valiant

It is with deep shock and sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Clinton Ronald Valiant passed away on August 14, 2020 in Calgary, AB at the age of 41 years, surrounded by those who love him.

Clinton was born in Winnipeg, MB; moving with his family to Calgary which he called home and where he ultimately planted roots for his own family. It is in Calgary where Clinton met Sujeong at a dance. They started a beautiful friendship, fell in love and married twice in 2016, once in South Korea and again in Calgary. Clinton and Sujeong proudly welcomed their son Bernard to their lives in December of 2017; achieving Clinton’s life-long dream of having a family of his own. There was no get-together that Clinton wouldn’t have his phone out to proudly show off Bernard’s latest triumphs.

Clinton will be remembered for his joyful sense of humor which brought laughter to all who knew him. He was also a kind-hearted man and his generous nature has extended beyond his time here with us. After witnessing a family member experience the benefit of organ donation, he knew that he wanted to provide that gift to others and became an organ donor. Our family has lost him too soon, but there is comfort knowing that his contribution will impact the lives of many others, just as he wished.

Clinton will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sujeong Kim and their 2 1/2 year old son Bernard; his parents Marlyss and Ronald Valiant; his grandmother Kathleen Richardson; as well as his sisters Theresa Zeller (Richard) and their children Cayden and Kayleigh and Angela Valiant (Neil). Clinton was predeceased by his grandparents Arthur and Jean Valiant as well as his grandfather Clifford Richardson.
