It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Connie on March 20th, 2019 at the age of 77 years. Connie is lovingly remembered by daughters Melina and Laura; son Maurice (Andrea); grandchildren Lauren (Justin), Josh (May), Michael (Melanie), Calee, Alyssa, Katelyn and Conrad; along with great-granddaughter Alice. Connie is also survived by her sisters Dona, Darcel and Desiree along with many other family members and friends. Connie was predeceased by her sister Beverly and daughter Monica.
Connie was courageous, generous, strong, independent, kind, loving and feisty. She could often be found creating a new work of art or getting her hands dirty in the garden. Connie always took the time to have a conversation over a coffee and a cigarette, her two favorite things.
A special thank you to the staff and locals at Caffe Beano where she felt so welcomed and cared for. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered in our hearts.
A Celebration of Connie’s Life will be held at a later date for family and friends. Details will be released at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made in Connie’s memory directly to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 1, (116 7 Ave SE, Calgary, AB T2G 0H5) in support of veterans and seniors.
