

We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Lance Doonan on April 12, 2017 at the age of 68 years. Lance lived his life in Calgary, AB. His passions were all things motorcycles, specifically Harley Davidson! Lance lived to ride and enjoyed many cross country adventures on his Harley, receiving high mileage awards in 1998, 1999 and 2000. A collector of sorts, Lance’s Harley memorabilia and Currency collections are both extensive and notable. Following a lengthy career with CP Rail as a locomotive mechanic, Lance retired in 2010. Lance was predeceased by his father David Doonan and mother Evelyn Prestie. Lance is survived by his beloved stepdad Jim Prestie, sister Kori (Brad), cherished nieces Dana (Greg), Jodi, Jamie (Mike), Stevie (Jason), and great-nieces and nephews Colton, Jesse, Samantha, Renae, Benjamin, Victoria, Zoey, Keaton, Bennett and Hardy. A Celebration of Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Memorial donations can be made directly to the Calgary Humane Society, 4455 - 110 Ave SE, Calgary, AB T2C 2T7.
