Denise Florence Beaudry

Denise passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025, at The Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary, surrounded by her loving family and compassionate nursing staff of unit #57.

Denise is survived by her husband of 57+ years, Marc-Andre; her children, Stephanie (Steve) and Etienne (Tara); her grandson, Marc Tyler; and her many other loving family members back in Montreal.

She was known for her commitment to her family, sense of humor and spunk. She found joy in reading, cooking, gardening and handy crafting. She was a dedicated volunteer at her kids’ schools, assistant soft ball coach, Edmonton Drop – In Centre, and Penticton Food Pantry.

Denise was a life-long learner and was born in Montreal, Quebec. Growing up Francophone in Montreal, Denise started to learn English in her mid-20’s after her family moved to Redondo Beach CA, following Marc in his medical studies. In later life her curiosity drew her to Italian classes. In addition to working as a telephone operator for Bell Canada (Montreal), a preschool teacher (Montreal), a sales clerk for a French bookstore, and a medical administrator in Edmonton (1977-2003). Her love for cooking culminated in obtaining a degree for Dubrulle French Culinary School (Vancouver).

Her family will hold a private celebration of life and plan to scatter her ashes in the Okanagan Valley/Penticton, where they enjoyed great times at the retirement property, she created with her husband, DenMarc Vineyard on Naramata Bench for 16 years before returning to Calgary.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter in Denise Beaudry’s memory.
