Dorthy Solowski (nee Leskiw) of Calgary, formerly of Vernon, BC, passed away suddenly and peacefully on March 26, 2014 at the age of 89 years. Dorthy is survived by her brother Harry (Lil); sister-in-law, Mildred Leskiw, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dorthy was predeceased by her husband John, parents, John and Olena (Helen); siblings, Paul, Mary, Anna and Steve, brother-in-law, Walter.
Prayers will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South, Calgary on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. with funeral service to follow at South Calgary Funeral Centre on Saturday, April 12 at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will take place at Vernon Pleasant Valley Cemetery on April 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Josephat’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 2210 – 40 Avenue, Vernon, BC, V1T 8Z9.
