Mom has joined Dad on the first tee. Edna Davies, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 99. Edna was predeceased by her husband Don and is survived by her children Allan (Chris), Terry (Neil) and Barb. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jeff, Andrea and Jennifer and great-grandchildren Grace, Tanner, London and Jasper. She is also survived by her loving sister Elsie Sevick and her many nieces and nephews.
The determination, strength and energy that she developed through tough times on the family farm drove her excellence as an athlete. She was accomplished at distance running, speed skating, golf and curling. She loved the time she spent on the course with her buddies and building the community. Edna and Don were founding members of Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club where she loved to take money off the guys. Mom was one of the forces behind the Autumn Gold Curling Classic. She was loved by many. She will be missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories.
