Elizabeth "Joy" Giesbrecht

Joy is lovingly remembered by her husband John, daughters Jennifer and Keri, stepdaughter Vicki, grandchildren; Ashley (Mike), Lyle (Brianna), Garick (Julia), Brady, Aimie (Pierce) and great granddaughter Nora.

Joy was born and raised in Winnipeg but called Calgary home for the last 40 years. Her family fondly remembers gathering for all the delicious meals she lovingly cooked every special occasion, as well as the many gorgeous perms she excelled at giving during her long career as a hair stylist.

During retirement she enjoyed traveling with John and camping in their trailer, as well as sightseeing on their motorcycle. Most recently she loved scenic drives close to home and visiting “her” mule to feed it carrots. She will be sorely missed.

The family will be holding a private ceremony.
