Elizabeth Yvonne Moore

September 2, 1932 - November 4, 2011

Bess Moore, of Calgary, beloved wife of Ron, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Friday, November 4, 2011 at the age of 79 years. Bess was a very committed wife, mother, and grandmother and her greatest joy were those times spent with her family. She was also very involved in her church and was a true example of her Christian faith, both in and outside of the church. Bess will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a trusted friend to many and was always reaching out with a helping hand to those in need. Life will never be the same without her and her presence in all our lives will be deeply felt for years to come. Bess is survived by her husband of sixty years, Ron; daughters Sherry Newman (Rob), Susan Runquist (Andy); grandchildren: Samantha Johnson (Wade), Maddie and Olivia Runquist; sisters Jean Savage (Jack), Josephine Cornelssen; brother Jim Brenchley (Marie), as well as many nieces and nephews. Bess was predeceased by her father and mother, Charles and Ida Brenchley and her sister Francis. A Memorial Service was held at Beddington Pentecostal Church, 16 Bermuda Drive N.W., Calgary on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 11:00a.m. Interment was held at Queen’s Park Cemetery, 3219 – 4 Street N.W. Calgary on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 11:30a.m. Family and friends met at Queen’s Park Cemetery gates at 11:15 a.m. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 200, 119 – 14 Street N.W.
