Dear Patti-Anne, your family and Kathleen.
I just got off the phone with Joe and was, to say the least, shocked to learn of Elwood's most untimely death. Dianne and I would have been in Uthrecht, Netherlands on Jan 10th with little communication with anyone and had not heard of your tragic loss until a few minutes ago. Needless to say we are at a loss for words and cannot begin to appreciate the sorrow you must be enduring with the loss of a wonderful husband, father and son-in-law. Dianne and I nevertheless wish to convey our most heartfelt sympathies to each of you and assure you we will keep Elwood in our thoughts and prayers. Cousin Pat and Dianne Cummins
