Fred David Chow

Fred is lovingly remembered by his beautiful daughter Ceanna Jadine; his siblings Elvis (Donna) Chow, Sussie (Tai) Wong, Danny Chow, Wanda Chow (Mark), and Hanna (Allan) Silverthorne; and his nephews Adam and David. Fred was predeceased by his parents Eddie (1984) and Linda (2013).

Fred was a father who adored his life as a dad. He beamed when he spoke of Ceanna (CJ) and was so proud when she would achieve her milestones. Nothing was too good for his daughter even if it meant styling her hair and doing her makeup for dance classes and/or shows. Ceanna was the star in his eyes. Fred always said “She’s my little girl.” During his battle, he developed a close friendship with Roma Lehr, Lindsay Lehr, Marlene Walterson, Michelle Morrow & many others from his Canada Post family. Their compassion and care for Fred helped him get through many difficult times.

A special thank you to Dr. Patricia Tang and the staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, and to the staff at the Carewest Sarcee Hospice for their kindness and care of our brother. Fred left too soon for us, but we know his soul is soaring. Rest in peace Fred in the loving arms of our mother and father.

A Memorial Reception will be held on Wednesday, July 29 at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made in Fred’s memory directly to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 – 29 St NW, Calgary, AB T2N 4N2.
