The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Dulcina for all the comfort and care they gave Georgia during her stay.
Georgia was born to Brent and Ethel Macnab in Vermilion, Alberta, in 1929 and lived there on her family farm until she went to town to finish her schooling before heading off to the University of Alberta to complete a Pharmacy degree. She was one of the first women pharmacists in Western Canada.
Married to Jack Brown in 1950, she raised three sons, John, Brent, and Kelly, while continuing to work and manage a chain of pharmacies in Calgary.
Georgia is survived by her eldest son John (Brenda); six grandchildren, Paul (Terri), Matt, Ryan (Lisa), Caron (Chris), Christopher, and Remee; and six and a half great-grandchildren, Finn (Jocelyn), Lucas, Atlas, Olivia, Wynnie, and Parker. She is also survived by her daughter in laws Tricia Brown and Sandy Last.
Georgia was predeceased by her parents, Brent and Ethel; her younger brother Brent; her husband Jack; as well as her two youngest sons, Brent and Kelly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 - 4 St. N.W., Calgary, Alberta, (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
