Gerry began his life in Pincher Creek, Alberta and was raised in Pendant d’ Oreille, Alberta. Pendant d’ Oreille was where he created some of his most cherished memories and also the area he wished to be his final resting place. He is survived by parents John and Jean Thompson; daughters Tammy Thompson; Angela Thompson and her sons Spencer and Kodie Thompson; Tracy (Melvin) and their daughter Makayla Scheller; as well as brothers Casey, Andy, and Ross Thompson.
