Geri passed away peacefully in Calgary, AB on Monday, September 17, 2012 at the age of 65 years.
She is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Richard Barr. In accordance with Geri’s wishes, her body will be used for research for medical study through the University of Calgary. The family would like to thank all the staff at Brentwood Care Centre, especially the staff on the Westview Unit and staff at the Foothills Hospital Unit 36 for all their extraordinary support and compassion. We would also like to thank Geri’s companion, Dawn Luthersz, for being there for her. It was Geri’s wish that no funeral service be held. Geri was dearly loved by her family.
