Glen passed away peacefully on October 5th at the age of 83 years. Glen was born in Duchess, Alberta and eventually became a proud Calgarian. He is survived by his Sister Goldie Baker (Jim), Stepchildren Erin Mckinnon (Joel Green), Tim Browne, Wendy Holden (Robert) and their children; Christopher (35), Kathryn (34) and Mariette (29), including seven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his partner of over 40 years, Marion (Bette) McKinnon and his sister Irene Newstater.
Glen owned and operated Task Force Labor Agency and was a meticulous bookkeeper. He was an early member of the Calgary Numismatics Society founded in 1950. In spite of his many hobbies, there will never be a way to describe his passion for surprising Bette with strawberry collectibles. The amassed collection had to be seen to believe. Every Holiday was also celebrated with lights, decoration and delight.
A special thanks to his nephew Bobby Crocker for being a live-in support to Glen during his final years.
Many heartfelt thanks to the staff at Millrise Seniors for their handwork and dedication to maintaining Glens dignity during his final years with Dementia.
Cremation in the care of South Calgary Funeral Centre.
