Gloria was born in Racice, Slovenia on September 10, 1937. She was the youngest of 8 children in a home that was filled with much love. Gloria, also known as Noni to most of us, ended up meeting her life partner Marcello and embarking on a new journey to Canada in 1959. They adjusted to life in Calgary where Gloria found her niche as a hairdresser; raising 2 beautiful children, Marcella and Rik. Gloria loved her gardening and taking care of her family. She was the rock that held the family together through all the joys and sadness’s that were encountered.
Gloria is lovingly remembered by her husband of 66 years Marcello; son Rik; granddaughters Juliana (Jeff) and Ashley; great grandchildren Luke and Brooklyn (Danielle); nieces Lori (Ross) and Sue. She was sadly predeceased by her beautiful daughter Marcella; grandson Daniel, plus many other family and friends.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a visitation held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 4 Street NW, Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 10:00 AM.
