Goldie "Dusty" passed away on Sunday, May 5th, 2019. She was born on November 10th, 1925, in High River, Alberta, to Nelson Chisholme and Emily Mary (née Straughan) Fraser. She moved to Calgary in 1943 and worked as an administrative assistant in the oil patch until her retirement in 1989. Dusty loved animals all her life; from the horses she rode to school as a child to the cats and dogs who were her loyal companions in adulthood. She loved spending time in San Francisco and Carmel, California, and was particularly drawn to the Big Sur coastline. She also enjoyed good food, wine, jazz, football, and basketball. Dusty is survived by her children; Sandy (Heinz), Terry (Wendy), grandchildren; Holly, Sue, Kenton, Nathan and Barbara, great-granddaughter Evelyn, and sister Jean Impey (Hugh) of Grande Prairie Alberta. Dusty was predeceased by her son Kelly Dwayne. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses who took such exceptional care of Dusty in her last week at the Foothills Hospital (Unit 57). At Dusty's request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Calgary Humane Society.
