Gordon Albert Haynes

AlbertGordon Haynes passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2010 in Calgary at the age of 92 years. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Florence; sister Laura (Bill) Chapman; cousin Shirley Eades and sister-in-law Lois Haynes. Gordon was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Florence Haynes, brother Ken and his wife Shirley, brother Jack, sisters and brothers-in-law Jean and George Rahal and Doris and Emerson Bainborough. Gordon was born on January 28, 1918 in Calgary but grew up at Empress, Alberta, moving to the Airdrie area in his mid teens. He served in the R.C.A.F. Gordon farmed in the Chestermere area, moving back to Calgary in 1996. A Funeral Service was held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, Alberta Division, 200, 325 Manning Road N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 2P5.
