With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gregg Aaron Gold — a devoted husband, loving father, and respected businessman. Gregg, a resident of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the age of 69, after a courageous battle with Double Hit Lymphoma.
Born November 20, 1955, and raised in South Florida, Gregg moved to Calgary in September 2007 after meeting the love of his life, Monica, online. From a young age, Gregg was entrepreneurial and ambitious. Together with Monica, he co-founded Regal Security Services Ltd., a company they built from the ground up with relentless dedication and passion. After his passing, the business was entrusted to Monica, continuing the legacy they created side by side.
Gregg was a man of great heart and spirit. He was a devoted husband, a phenomenal father, and a generous friend. He strived to give his family the very best and took pride in creating a loving, secure home.
His heart remained close to Florida, where he cherished time spent sailing and relaxing on the ocean. One of his favorite joys was being aboard a motor yacht with his family — unwinding, napping, and enjoying the waves. He often said, “I feel like I’m on a floating hotel that rocks me to sleep.”
Gregg also loved to travel and cruise with family and friends, building long lasting memories filled with laughter and joy. He had an extraordinary capacity for kindness and selflessness, always willing to help others — often putting their needs before his own.
Though Gregg has left this world, his spirit lives on. He is now in God’s hands, free from pain, watching over his loved ones. His legacy will endure in the hearts of all those he touched and in the countless memories he helped create.
Gregg is survived by his beloved wife Monica; their children Myah and Marcus; his daughter Mauikai (Ahmed) D’Ala; his sister Beth Keough; and his brother Jason (Kathy) Gold. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and cherished friends who will miss him deeply and love him endlessly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sari and Jacob Gold.
A memorial service to celebrate Gregg’s remarkable life will be held at the South Calgary Funeral Centre and Crematorium, 12700 Macleod Trail SE, Calgary, AB T2J 7E5. All friends and family are warmly invited to attend, pay their respects, and honor his memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gregg’s honor can be made to the Alberta Cancer Centre, supporting research and treatment for those fighting the same battle he so bravely faced.
Rest in peace, dear Gregg.
Your memory will be cherished always, and your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you.
