

Helen was born on August 2, 1939 in Calgary, Alberta. She was the fourth child of Harold and Cora Metz, the family lived on the family farm east of Didsbury, Alberta. Helen along with her siblings attended the Burnside country school, until the family moved north-west of Sundre. Helen attended the Lobley country school until the end of grade nine, and then she attended high school at Sundre High School. Helen later attended the Full Gospel Bible Institute in Eston, Saskatchewan for three years. She then moved to Calgary and started working in the offices of the University of Calgary. A few years later Helen started working in the payroll department at SAIT. Due to health issues Helen then took an early retirement in 1998.
Helen enjoyed collecting pictures, newspaper and magazine articles of the Royal family and the Russian Czar's, she also loved to sign at funeral's.
Helen was predeceased by her parents, Harold & Cora Metz, as well as her brother Stanley Metz, her sister Dorothy Minor and her brother-in-law Bill Minor.
She leaves to mourn her passing her brother Don (Sharon), brother Ernie (Barb), nieces Cheryl Bowers, Melody Myers and Fern Minor, as well as her nephews Larry Metz and Paul Minor.
