

Herman passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, September 10, 2010 at the age of 82 years. Herman and wife Audrey came to Canada from Holland in 1953, landing in Saskatchewan and then later coming to Calgary to raise their family. In 1968 he started his own business which his family is still deeply involved with today. Herman is a life time member of the Dutch Canadian Club and an avid fisherman on Lake Minnewanka. He is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his children Wendy Joan (Leo) Bahuaud, Dennis (Helena) Van Megen, and Carol (Mark) Ringham; grandsons Tyler (Fallon), Cody (Danielle), Clayton, Lee and Andrew. Herman is also survived by his extended family in Holland. He is predeceased by his loving wife Audrey (2005). A Memorial Service was held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Alberta Cancer Foundation c/o Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 – 29 Street N.W., Calgary AB, T2N 4N2.
