Hiyasmin Reyes Canseco

It is with great sadness that the family of Hiyasmin Canseco announces her passing on July 22, 2025 at her home in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 56. Hiyasmin was born on June 30, 1969 in Tarlac, Philippines to Nenita Reyes and the late Oscar Reyes.

Hiyasmin graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines with a degree in Mathematics. She worked at the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) for 18 years, first as a Clerk and then as an Executive Secretary.

Hiyasmin moved to Markham, Ontario in 2008 with her family, where she worked as a Data Entry Specialist at Inofas Integrated Systems for 8 years. Then, she moved to Calgary, Alberta in 2015, where she worked as a Clerk at local registries such as MoJo's License & Registry and Riverbend Registries until her passing.

In her free time, Hiyasmin enjoyed tending to her garden and her art projects. She was always overjoyed when visitors were delighted by her truly wonderful garden.

Hiyasmin was a devoted wife to her husband of 30 years, Rafaelito Canseco, and a loving mother to her two sons, Jazel Canseco and Jhyro Canseco. Hiyasmin is survived by her husband and her sons.

Hiyasmin was loved by many. She was sociable, kind, and generous. She gave happiness to those around her and provided help to those in need.

Both the funeral viewing and funeral service will be live streamed for those who wish to attend remotely.
