Jim McConnell passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017 in Calgary, AB at the age of 91 years. Left behind to mourn his loss are his wife of 67 years, Ida; their children, Jim (Trish), Don (Heather) and Gail McPhail (Mark); numerous grand and great-grandchildren; as well as his brothers, Winston and Len Moulton. The family wishes to thank the staff at Northland Dialysis for their many years of care, as well as the staff at Foothills Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held at Highwood Lutheran Church, 419 Northmount Drive NW, on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Calgary Kidney Foundation, 6007 - 1a St SW, Calgary, AB T2H 0G3.
