Imogene Mabel Brook

Imogene Mabel Brook passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the age of 88 years. Imogene was born in Hanna, Alberta on September 29, 1933.
Imogene is lovingly remembered by her daughter’s Terry and Janet, her son Randy and her grandson’s Christopher, Chester and Barry, her sister Dianne and by many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Imogene was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years David John Brook, her brothers Dennis and Ben, her sister-in-law Joan, and nieces Pam and Shelley.
Family was very important to Imogene, her grandsons were the light of her life and she loved spending time with them. Her grandsons live in BC so Grandma sent many parcels to them. Imogene had deep friendships of many years. Imogene’s baking was legendary which relatives and friends enjoyed; she was a wonderful cook and there were many happy times around the dinner table. To Imogene living was giving, and she gave of her time to so many. Imogene volunteered at the schools, Foothills Hospital, Church and several organizations. Imogene walked miles during the time when canvassing was door to door. She loved gardening, animals (many a dog and cat), music, dance and theatre.
At Imogene’s request no service will be held. If family and friends wish memorial donations may be made directly to the Alberta Children’s Hospital at https://www.childrenshospital.ab.ca/.
