Irene was born in Wilkie, SK on May 13, 1939. On November 11, 1961 she married her husband Floyd in Nipawin, SK and in 1971 they moved to Red Deer, AB.
Irene worked for Kovacs Manufacturing Shoe Repair where she sewed boat covers and awnings for twenty years. She then worked for Fanny’s Fabrics and Walmart in the Craft and Sewing department. Upon her retirement, Irene began sewing and crocheting for the Farmer’s Market and Christmas Craft Sales.
Irene will be lovingly remembered by her husband Floyd; daughter Angela (James) Goreham; granddaughters Amanda Edworthy (Dustin) and Alexandra Goreham; grandson Zachary Goreham; great grandchildren Brooke, Talon and Dove, as well as many other family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Frank and Elizabeth Hoffert; her brothers William and Albert; her sister Bernice and her daughter Rhonda Thurber.
