Irene was the third oldest child of Ira and Nellie Henderson. She graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1936 and married Merle Florence August 3, 1939. Irene was a generous person who enjoyed life, and received great enjoyment from her family. Irene also cherished her independence. She was predeceased by her husband Merle, her sisters and their husbands and her brother Erle Henderson. Irene is survived by her son Gary (Bernie) Florence and daughter Layne (Murray Clarke) and four grandchildren, Tricia (Todd Snodgrass) Jody (Michael Johnson), Christian Clarke, Kelly (Devin Hauswirth). She is also survived by five great grandchildren, Tate Snodgrass, Kaylin Snodgrass, Emma Johnson, Penelope Johnson, and Deacon Hauswirth. Irene also leaves behind many friends at Carroll Place.
